You… OFF MY PLANET!

okay…so this is just a quick commentary on the delusional people on american idol…okay…i understand that i can’t hold a tune, and i’m not delusional to think that can actually be the next american idol - but holy sh*t!! these folks are belting out their tunes, thinking they’re completely talented. okay so currently there is this “gentleman” and i use the term loosely…he’s…well, think hippie meet flaming gay man meet that hari krishna…

i can’t even begin to tell you how insane how this stuff is…take this one…the one who believes she’s princess leia:

too bad youtube hasn’t covered the auditions on Tuesday night…omg…there are these frightening people - especiall the hippie…so, maybe i’ll keep looking to see whether they’ll post that…

just my two cents…don’t these folks record themselves to hear the playback??!! frightening…

10 years of working in corporate america…did i pay my dues? 10 years of working for some of the most insane people, with the most unreasonable demands of my time beyond the 8 hours a day i’m suppose to dedicate to the almighty paycheck. 10 years of watching everyone else advance, and wondering when it was my turn…and why i was less qualified than that someone else who got the job i knew i was qualified for. 10 years of wondering am i really just not good enough like my parent told me…

maybe now it’s my turn. i’ve been told that i’m in line for the next round of promotions - i now have a boss that recognized what i do as valuable…i have a team that sees me as a vital part of the machine…moving forwared…and hopefully upwards…

maybe i’ll finally be able to get to where i want to go…

It’s another year…and this year, started out with a nice and expensive note. We were at the symphony for new years eve…had a nice time… then it was back to the soho grand for a nice night in, champagne, room service, you know the drill.

so here i was, opening the nice bottle of chilled champagne…and after ripping off the foil, i started reading the label. much to my chagrin…IT WAS A VINTAGE BOTTLE FROM 1988!!!!! i mean…friends had given us the bottle before they moved to LA, and we thought it was just a regular bottle. well, lo and behold…after ripping the foil off, that was the surprise waiting for us. so, now that we’re forced to actually open it and enjoy it, we each had a few glasses. let me tell you…it was probably the best bottle of champagne i’ve ever had. the taste was out of this world!! so, we called them, thanked them, and laughed…cause we’re evil like that.

we ordered nice food, enjoyed nice music, and had a great time…so here’s to another year…
