i think every year, the holidays are just another few days in a year when we get off work…for such a commercialized holiday, i no longer felt like there are such things as christmas spirit…you walk around and see the salvation army folks ringing their bells, collecting for money. all i can think of is “where is the money going?” driving around, i saw the insane line going in and out of the malls…went into target and saw the mountain of stuff that people were buying. what happened to the thought and the well wishes…
of course, i say that now…but don’t get me wrong…i love the whole getting presents thing. we got home from alexis’s dad’s place for dinner…it was our version of xmas dinner…and we got lots of presents…that was fun.
just ambivalent about it i suppose…but in any case…if you’re actually reading this…merry xmas to you and yours…
