so i ran out of reading materials…or rather, i can’t find anything that i wanted to read in the house…so, here i am, in barnes and noble. i looked around and found a few books…and finally wandered down to the gay and lesbian section. i was hoping that i would find something that i can find interesting. what i did find, amazed me.
there was one full shelf of erotic writings…which is a pleasant way of saying porn. there’s nothing worthy of the word “literature”.
why is it that looking for “gay” literature means that i want to read hard core porn? isn’t there any novelists out there that write homosexual material…without delving into the world of pornography? how degrading is that? what do you expect the rest of the world to think of the GLBT world when you walk into a popular bookstore, you look and the only books you can find on any gay or lesbian subject is graphic porn.
sad…

i’ve thought for quite a while now how to write this post…not because of what the actual news is…but because i want to be able to say it in a way that will do the event justice…
maybe there really isn’t a “perfect” way to say it…perfection is in the opinion of the reader i suppose…
we’re engaged…she asked me last thursday, and i’ve whole-heartedly accepted. there was never any doubt we would end up together, and now, it’s official.
i enjoyed a private moment just feeling what she tried to convey to me.
there was no spoken words…only written ones. and yet i knew exactly what she wanted to say, how she felt when she thought about what she’s writing…
it was the same way i knew how she felt the moment we met…
i am no longer seeking for that something better…i’ve found it…i’ve found her.

essentially, it’s a tale of a gentleman who went into bestbuy to replace a crashed hard drive. after being assured that the HD would be disposed properly of (since it contains lots of personal info), the drive showed up at a flea market in Chicago, for $25.
lol…
moral of the story is…well, there is none except be careful?
