woohoo…happy chinese new year to me. another year, another new beginning. unfortunately this year, my entire family (and i mean the entire family) is in taiwan…from the sound of it when i spoke to my aunt, it’s a party and a half…that or it’s a tragedy in the making. apparently my cousin hanwey is all sorts of sick…yalan apparently fell over some stone bench and almost broke her leg. meanwhile, my brother and rest of the family wonders how the hell they’re all going to survive the next few days…
well, it’s all drawing to a close anyway. i’ve been on vaca this week as well…alexis and i got back from vegas on wednesday…we had a great time…gambled a bit, nothing huge, she won us a free breakfast *grin* yay alexis. we took in all the sights and sounds of vegas…and just acted like tourists. i’ll have some pictures up at a later point promise. maybe you’ll even be able to see the vaca video…yes, i walked around like those people i hate with a camcorder in one hand, and a digicam in the other…i was probably a sight to behold. anyway…more on the vaca later…now, it’s dinner time, we’re going out for sushi!!

men and women sit, some with heads bowed, hands clasped as if in prayer. low murmer heard over the din background noise. are they praying, and if so, who are they praying to, for what are they praying for? others sit, staring blankly into space, into the abyss they’ve conjured up for this purpose.
thoughts that must run through their minds, what are they…or am i wrong, there are no thoughts, just of their destination, listening to the garbled announcements coming through the tinny speakers mounted overhead…are they awake? are they sleeping? are they ignoring the world around them while they enjoy their last bit of freedom before being chained to their offices for the next 10 hours…
strange things i think of while i’m commuting…don’t you wonder the same thing?

what an amazing holiday season. i’ve had a great 2 weeks. dinner with friends on christmas, then quiet time with the lover on new years…alright, so she fell asleep a little early, but we made up for it the night after…then..as part of my xmas present, alexis actually took me to a nets vs knicks game…waht an amazing game…for 3 quarters they were battling neck and neck…then it seems as if knicks just quit…eh…not a problem for me anyway…i hate the knicks…alexis had a good time too…thankfully. i was hoping she would, after all, basketball is a passion of mine.
it’s a new year…and this year, like my friend andi said…hopefully there will be less drama…i’m happy, truly happy…and it’s thanks to friends, family, and my love. amazing when love is returned isn’t it? okay, enough babble…maybe more later…
